Where Your Hands Are: Memoir of an Indivisible
On my journey from the political sidelines and into the fray of social activism, I would enlist in the Indivisible movement as an early General in the Midwest. As a rural physician, I would rise to defend access to healthcare for all and to face racism and hate speech. I would risk reputation and reward to stand for those who could not stand for themselves. I would reconcile addiction with faith, loss with gratitude, and the unknown with willingness. This journey would draw me back to the missed lessons of my youth, open me to the opportunities of today, and inspire my hope for the future.
